Minzhang Chen, Ph.D.
Co-CEO of WuXi AppTec
Dr. Chen has more than 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing and has played a significant role in the R&D and commercialization of multiple innovative drugs for global launches. He was recognized two years running by The Medicine Maker’s Power List (2019 and 2020) as one of the top inspirational global medicine makers driving the industry forward. Prior to joining WuXi AppTec, he was director of Technical Operations at Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Chen earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Peking University and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
