Small Molecules

One organization from the first screening compound to commercial supply, ensuring time-consuming handovers never happen.

What an integrated CRDMO actually removes

A program run across separate suppliers acquires a technology transfer at each boundary — discovery to development, drug substance to drug product, clinical to commercial. Every transfer means new analytical methods, a new impurity discussion, a fresh audit, and a period where nobody is accountable for the date. Those weeks do not appear on any quotation. An integrated CDMO is built to remove them.

Here, the chemists who make your first screening compounds are in the same organization as the ones who will run your PPQ campaign. Route decisions taken in discovery can be made with the commercial process already in view, because the people who will run it are on the same team.

Capacity is what we provide. Throughput is what you get.

More than 440,000 compounds delivered a year. Across the platform, more than 39,000 drug substance batches and 3,800 drug product batches are released every 12 months.

That volume matters for one simple reason: processes get better when a lot of them are run. Five enabling platforms sit behind our routes — flow chemistry, chemocatalysis, biocatalysis, crystallization, and preparative chromatography. Across those five platforms, we have manufactured 1,182 steps at production scale.

Proven where it counts

Process performance qualification is the stage that confirms a process is ready for commercial production.

Our record across those campaigns is one hundred per cent. More than 30 Pre-Approval Inspections waived by the US FDA and EMA since 2023, and over 1,000 CMC submission packages written to support global IND and NDA filings from this platform.

Where the work happens

Development and manufacturing across five China sites (Changzhou, Taixing, Jinshan, Wuxi City, and Shanghai Waigaoqiao), together with Couvet, Switzerland; Middletown, Delaware; and San Diego, California. A further API site in Singapore becomes operational in 2027.

Beyond manufacturing, discovery biology runs in Munich, compound management and logistics at Boston and Natick, and DMPK at Cranbury, New Jersey.

Locations

Small molecules. Big plans.

The small molecule is the most established modality in medicine — and the most demanding to differentiate. The molecules that matter now are harder to make: more complex scaffolds, tougher targets, less margin for a route that works on the bench and fails at scale. That’s the chemistry this work is built for.

Move fast. Move forward.
